There were some stunning cars on display, inside and out.
Among them the T2D golf aircooled and detailed to the max, built by the talented Mr. Matt Balls.
We chose a late Marathon beetle as our choice, it was superbly built but quite subtle with a big engine, big brakes and cage...but a real sleeper.
Here are a couple of pics of our bus finished...yes it did make it for those who have emailed me to say they could'nt find it.. lol...
A few nice bits from the VolksWorld show.
A Pitts Sign for Peter at CSP.
Some lettering on a mini bug for Gunter at CSP........
.A real german helmet with some stripes and lettering over some really cool metalflake.
and some lettering on the bug-in trophy
detailing the bus...its almost there......loads of stuff to finish off, jobs being collected and some striped stuff. We'll also have Starter kits and Neil's Pinstriping DVD's with us.
Don't forget in between tech talks Neil will be striping himself into a frenzy all weekend so if you have anything you want striping and you can carry it ..bring it along.[he's the one that looks like Schumacher's big brother]
Thanks to Phil Norman for the use of the booth, and to Phil Slade for being the masking-bitch......the bay went on a low loader for four coats of clear by Neil.
plenty of flatting and polishing tomorrow
Here are the pics
We just added white wrapping vinyl to the sides of this cabriolet, inspired by the last edition cabriolets available in the U.S....it was fiddly but well worth it.
In amongst making 23 VolksWorld trophies [that are looking really cool...but you'll have to come to the show to see them....its well worth a visit if even if your not mad about vw's its still a great day out, and you can see the roof finished... tickets here] and making some smart Golf Course signs, we managed to get a few ours on the roof.
Phil got roped into helping Neil flat the clear coat..without rubbing through, so that last night more outlines and goldleaf could be added.
One more evening of outlines and shades tonight should see it on target for a visit to Brickfield autos booth for final lacquer and a bake on saturday.
